Balvinder (Sunny) Khambay i Honorary NHS Consultant Orthodontist at the Birmingham Dental Hospital. He is also Honorary Professor of Orthodontics at the Hong Kong University.
Sunny has probably trained over one hundred specialists during his time as an Academic, both here in the UK and in the Far East. Balvinder has extensive experience in both teaching and research working in collaboration with various institutions both nationally and internationally. He is also an international lecturer and examiner for the Royal Colleague of Surgeons. He has multiple peer reviewed publications in national and international journals. His clinical and research interests are in the area of facial surgical planning (orthognathic surgery) and 3D facial motion capture. Balvinder predominately uses fixed braces to produce the tooth movements required to produce optimal results for his patients. His ethos is to try and work with patients to achieve their desired results but making them aware of any limitations.
When he is not working, he enjoys DIY jobs around the house and he is currently studying for a Masters in Medical Law and Ethics.
